Top 16 Comfiest Sustainable Track Pants To Relax In This Winter

I've never called trackpants 'joggers', but for the sake of optimising the search function of this sustainable trackpants blog it's my pleasure to introduce you to an array of sustainable joggers to feast your eyes upon and potentially nestle your butt cheeks into.

This is for the discerning comfort seekers amongst us who find themselves in need of an extra layer down below. Personally, I own three pairs of ethical trackpants and I don't care to imagine a life without them. They're a happy constant.

What you need to know before reading this:

  1. Price ranges are in New Zealand dollars.

  2. The size range refers to ethical joggers options (some brands have different sizes for their other products).

  3. ‘Made in’ refers to where the sustainable sweatpants are made, not inclusive of where the fabric is made.

  4. If I have personal experience wearing a brand’s sustainable joggers, I have left a short review.

  5. None of these brands are perfectly ethical. No brand, or person, is.

Sustainable Joggers Q&A

Where do ethical trackpants end up at the end of their life?

Depending on what they are made from, it’s likely you can compost them! If the ethical joggers are made from natural materials (as most of the above listed are) then they can break down in your compost bin. Check with the company first if the trims (e.g. thread, labels, elastic) are also compostable as it’s likely they are not. If not, keep a close eye on the sustainable joggers as they break down and removed the non-compostable parts once the rest has degraded. But of course make sure you repair your sustainable joggers many times before they become unwearable!

I’m plus sized, what are my sustainable sweatpants options?

We’ve tried our best to list a range of options that suit all sizes in this ethical t shirt blog post, however you can find more plus sized brands here.

Why do these ethical joggers cost so much more than conventionally made joggers?

The sustainable sweatpants featured are crafted from sustainable materials and manufactured using methods that minimize environmental impact. They are made by workers who receive fair wages and equitable treatment in their workplaces. In contrast to inexpensive fast fashion, these sustainable joggers typically offer greater durability, making their cost-per-wear significantly lower than short-lived, mass-produced alternatives found in mainstream malls.
